Sorting beans today

You never know where an activity is going to take you! Letting the children guide me in their play and facilitate opportunities to further that play is the main part of my job above the normal health and hygiene side of things. For example today I filled the activity table with beans and kitchen equipment thinking the children would pour and sort them but instead the child spent most of there time balancing the large beans on the kitchen furniture then blowing them till they fell down (Which they found hilarious) As long as they are happy and engaged learning happens all by it’s self!
